Locations and Studio Pass Information

Students in E101 (Introduction to Engineering and Problem Solving) frequently take advantage of our work space and tools to create their design projects.

Do you need access to basic woodworking equipment to complete an assignment? Or do you simply need the service of having cuts made for you? Whether in support of an individual or group, we offer the following services:

Wood Studio Services

At no charge, arrangements can be made for one of our shop staff to make cuts for project work. Please plan ahead and enter the shop with high respect for safety.

Work Space

With prior notice and planning, the Wood Studio will be made available for use by student project teams. Woodshop machine operations during this time will be limited.

Studio Passes

Studio passes are available for wood, clay, glass, jewelry and metals, photography and lapidary disciplines. If you’re proficient in any of these areas, you may purchase a studio pass that allows you to work on your own following completion of a studio orientation. For the Wood Studio, all participants must have medical insurance.
