Registration fees are based upon your affiliation to the university. Class fees include a studio pass for the semester unless otherwise noted.
Crafts Center classes are extracurricular, non-credit classes. To see the price of a specific class or workshop, view current offerings.

What are the fee levels?
Level I – Student price: For fee-paying NC State students only; this price is not available to tuition waiver recipients, non-fee students or spouses of students.
Level II – Affiliate price*: For NC State alumni, parents of a current NC State student, NC State employee, tuition waiver recipients, Centennial Partners, non-fee paying students; OLLI members; and senior citizens (age 60+)
Level III – Base price: For general public
*Not extended to spouses
Is there an age requirement to take a class?
Yes. You must be 18 or over or a registered NC State student with current health insurance to participate in classes and studio areas.
Do you offer discounts for classes and studio passes?
Yes. NC State students receive 50% off the general public rate. Affiliates receive 10% off the general public rate. Additionally, studio fees are reduced by 40% after the mid-semester break.
I’m not taking a class. Can I still use a studio?
Yes, provided you have sufficient experience and knowledge to work independently in the studio. First-time users must complete an orientation before using the facility. Studio access may be limited or unavailable during class times. Studio passes are valid for the current semester only.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Registration for classes and studio passes must be done online through our Ecommerce store with payment by credit card.
At this time, supplies related to current classes and studio will continue to be sold over the counter at the Center’s Info Desk; forms of payment accepted are cash, check, and money order. Checks should be payable to University Student Center. Checks returned by a bank for any reason will incur a $25 returned check fee.
Credit cards will be accepted for supply purchases in the near future
What are the guidelines on cancellations?
For a refund, you must notify the Crafts Center staff of a cancellation using our online Cancellation Form at least seven days before the class or workshop is scheduled to begin; a $10 processing charge will be assessed to all cancellations.
A refund less a $10.00 cancellation charge will be issued to the same credit card used
for original payment; allow 10 business days for the credit to post to your account.
If the class or workshop is cancelled by the Crafts Center, a full refund will be issued.
Other class guidelines
To get the most out of your class, we recommend you attend each session. We do not offer make-up sessions for missed classes.
Class schedule changes
Dates, times and instructors of classes are subject to change. In the event a change to the class schedule needs to be made, you will be notified via email and/or by phone
If a class is filled at time of registration, navigate to the Crafts Center Waiting List to add your name to be contacted.
Should a class space become available, NC State students are given priority and are contacted first. Then the space is offered to all others on the list in the order as appearing on the list.
If a last-minute cancellation occurs, then everyone on the list is contacted at the same time; the first person to respond who will commit to attending the class will secure the space.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, NC State will honor requests for reasonable accommodations made by individuals with disabilities.
