Working with Wire
Working with wire is one of the oldest techniques for creating handmade jewelry. This 4-week class is comprised of four projects (components), each week a new component will be demonstrated and you will have the option to practice the technique prior to making your jewelry piece. Copper and NuGold (sometimes called Merlin’s gold) wire will be provided in various gauges to practice and create your jewelry pieces. The components you make can be used to create necklaces, pendants, bracelets, earrings and/or rings. If you prefer to make your components in another type of wire, you are responsible for purchasing and providing the wire. Please request a list of wire gauges that will be used from the instructor.
