Step into a world of imagination and create your own enchanting Clay Cottage in this handbuilding workshop. These small ceramic dwellings are perfect whimsical additions to a fairy garden or can be transformed into charming luminaries for the holiday season. In this class, participants will use a variety of handbuilding techniques, including slab and coil construction to form the structure of their cottages. Students will also explore texture and surface design, adding personality through carved details, stamped patterns, and imaginative features such as tiny doors, windows, chimneys, and whimsical roofs. Guidance will be provided throughout the creative process, making this class welcoming for beginners while still offering plenty of opportunities for experienced makers to explore different techniques.All pieces will be bisque fired and glazed fired with a clear glaze. Pieces will be ready for pick up between 2-3 weeks after the workshop ends.
