Stacking Forms
This class will focus on throwing tall and stacking forms. Students will be guided through exercises that build the skills needed to throw taller and more even walled cylinders. Next, they will learn to throw cylinders of the same diameter and gain experience with joining them together on the wheel. These stacked forms will then be further thrown, stretched, and shaped into a final form greater than the sum of the parts. If you want to learn to throw taller and stack parts on the wheel, this class is for you.
This is an intermediate level class. Students should have a strong understanding of the throwing process. Class fee includes one 25 lb. bag of clay. Locker rental is available for $10.00 and can be purchased on the first day of class. A Class Pass may be purchased for studio access prior to the start date of the class, provided there are available spaces.
