Wheel 3: Refining Technique
Wheel III is designed for intermediate to advanced level students who want to hone their throwing skills, learn a variety of creative wheel working techniques, and build on their surface design abilities. Projects will include making two-piece stacked forms, hollow forms, multi-part forms, and multiple options for surface embellishment. Students will be encouraged to explore their own ideas, take risks, and push their skills. Demonstrations and discussions will focus on elevating craftsmanship through thoughtful examination of one’s work along with attention to detail.
Practice time outside of class is strongly suggested to finish class projects.
