Fabric Painting & Calligraphy [Workshop]

Learn to create your very own unique fabric prints and clothing! In this workshop, you will explore various tools to create textures and marks. We will begin on paper, then transition to painting on various fabrics and clothing. Feel free to bring your own fabrics/clothing in addition to the class-supplied materials. You will come away with a new vision for creating unique and abstract textures as well as some new wardrobe items that can’t be found in a store!

• What to bring:
• We encourage you to wear clothing that is OK to get paint on or wear an apron/cover-up. Fabric paint doesn’t wash out!
• Stamps, old brushes, leaves, sponges, old credit cards, etc.
• T-shirts, bandanas, tablecloths – anything you’d like to paint and customize
• Key words, quotes, sayings that you’d like to write onto fabric
