For NC State students only. Don’t have time to commit to a full-length crafts class? Come join us for an afternoon of fun and learning! Register for one or more sessions.

Class fee: $15 per session, all supplies included

Spend an afternoon swinging paint from the ceiling and letting loose on canvas and poster board! Bring your own additional items to paint on [canvas, tee shirt, mug, wood, etc.] and come to class prepared to get really messy!

Come learn how to use a wood lathe and turn your very own custom wooden twist pen! Start with a block of beautiful hardwood and learn how to shape, sand, finish and assemble a one-of-a-kind handmade twist pen!

Try your hands at the potter’s wheel while making a clay bowl or cup during this fun crafternoon activity! Pick your favorite piece to be glazed and finished in the Crafts Center’s gas kiln!

Spend an afternoon using your creative side to blend different shades and styles to make beaded barrettes. These go great alone or in pairs, and with a variety of wardrobes.

Saturday afternoon, September 30 1:30 – 4:30 pm

Come ‘play’ with fire while learning to apply powdered glass to metal. In this short session, get a quick, hands-on lesson in basic hot enameling.

Learn fun watercolor techniques while painting colorful fall leaves.

Come learn how to use a wood lathe and turn your very own custom wooden ice cream scoop for all the Howling Cow you’ll be enjoying!

Foil and solder using the copper foil method of stained glass to create a simple suncatcher or ornament.
