Break to Make: Employees Only

For NC State University Faculty and Staff only. Take a BREAK from workday stress to MAKE something creative and fun at The Crafts Center this semester! Register for one or more sessions.
Class fee: $25 per session, all supplies included

SESSION D
Hammered Copper Earrings: Introduction to making hammered metal earrings. Each participant will have the opportunity to make at least one pair of hammered copper, brass, steel or mixed metal earrings. The class will teach the basics of hammered metal for earrings. All materials will be provided.

SESSION E
Enameled Pendant and Earrings: Come ‘play’ with fire while learning to apply powdered glass to metal. In this short session, get a quick, hands-on lesson in basic hot enameling.

Watercolor Fall Leaves

Hand Embroidery Learn the fundamental basic stitches of embroidery – running, back, stem, split, chain, and feather stitching patterns, to name a few! Practice your new embroidery skills on test fabric provided by the Crafts Center and walk away with enough knowledge to continue embroidering independently as a hobby!

Acrylic Belltowers
Be the envy of your colleagues. Create your own Iconic NC State belltower with acrylic paint on canvas board. Open to all skill levels.

Session Q
Turned Wood Duck Call: Learn how to use a wood lathe and turn your very own custom double reed duck call. You’ll leave with a one of a kind working duck call for duck season, or just to annoy your friends.
