Calligraphic Flourishing – Winter Snowflake [Workshop]

Improve your everyday handwriting with this graceful and timeless script. Italian Hand is a delicate script developed throughout Europe in the 1600’s and used well into the 1700’s. The original letter forms are lively and ornamental with unusual shading which creates a rich visual texture across the page while modern adaptations retain a simple beauty and lend themselves to everyday cursive. Using traditional calligraphy tools, you will learn both the lower-case and upper-case alphabet as well as some simple flourishes. Beginners embraced, no previous skills necessary, all materials provided.
