Leather Tote Bag [Workshop]

Functional and beautiful, this full leather tote will be a timeless piece for any occasion. The workshop will cover cutting, sewing and fabrication, patternmaking/design, and tooling for the construction of a 16” x 16” x 5” tote bag with handles and handy exterior pocket. You will be provided with leather and a basic pattern to guide you in the design of your bag. You will learn how to cut out your base leather pieces, finish the raw edges, sew them together using the Center’s heavy-duty fabricator sewing machine, add the hardware and sew an exterior storage area. You will also learn to treat it with an oil protectant. An intermediate level knowledge of sewing is required.
