Bio

From making bowls out of mud in the garden, to designing clothes when I was 8, to chalkboard drawings, painting, doodling in notebooks and then to more formal art instruction in high school, I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t creating art.

I began taking classes at the Crafts Center about 25 years ago with an Introduction to Wheel class. There are so many ways to create with clay which has kept me interested in continual learning at the Crafts Center. I’ve been a studio member on and off since then.

Two years ago, I was asked to teach pottery classes. Although I wasn’t so sure I could do it, I’ve loved it from the very first class. An added benefit is it helps fund my pottery addiction. :-). Teaching pottery is so much fun especially with classes whose students vary from college students to retired professionals and every experience in between. The clay studio is truly my happy place.
