Woodworking 1: Foundations of Woodworking

Welcome to woodworking! This class is an exploration of the techniques and processes that are key to expanding skill in fine woodworking. Over four class periods, you will cover the milling process and safety, basic table saw techniques, operation of radial arm and mitre saws, bandsaws, & glue-up techniques. Learn these techniques and tools while creating your own custom cutting board to take home. Completion of this class meets the qualification for you to purchase a Wood Studio membership.

Section A: Mondays [4 weeks] September 9 – 30: 2:30 – 5:30pm*

Section B: Mondays [4 weeks] September 9 – 30: 6:30 – 9:30pm

Section C: Fridays [4 weeks] September 13 – October 4: 9:00am – 12:00pm*

Section D: Tuesdays [4 weeks] September 24 – October 22 (skip Oct.15): 6:30 – 9:30pm

*Note: Parking on campus weekdays prior to 5:00pm requires a Visitor Parking Permit [$10 daily].
