Introduction to the Extruder [Workshop]

Interested in learning how to work with a clay extruder? It’s a great tool to get to know and our clay studio has two! You will explore the possibilities with our existing die shapes. This class will utilize our Brent and North Star extruders to manipulate clay into coils, straps, or hollow tubes. Demonstrations will cover machine setup and usage, as well as basic skills on how to use those extrusions. Projects are designed to reinforce extruder techniques while also encouraging students to experiment and express themselves.
NOTE: All workshop pieces will be bisque fired after the workshop. Glaze firing is only available for current clay studio members or students enrolled in a 6-week class. The class fee includes a 25lb. bag of clay and use of studio tools during the workshop.
