Introduction to Pattern Bars

Pattern bars are a way to create unique, organic design elements for your fused glass. You will learn about different ways to make pattern bars and how to cut the bars to use in fused glass pieces. You will design and make two 6×3 or 4×4-inch flow pattern bars, approximately 3/4 to 1-inch thick. After firing, you’ll then use the tile/glass saw to cut the bar into slices which you will use in the design of a plate. All supplies included (seven 6-inch squares of glass and the materials to make the dams used to form the pattern bars).
