Introduction to Sewing 2

If you’ve taken the Intro to Sewing 1 class and understand how to read a pattern, how to layout and cut out fabric, and how to use a sewing machine, this class is for you. You’ll make a jacket. Learn how to sew in sleeves, add lining, make a closure and add embellishments. Bring a simple jacket pattern (Simplicity S9468, S9685 or Butterick 6062, B6120 are suggested) jacket fabric, lining fabric and called for notions, your sewing machine and sharp scissors. If you’d rather make one similar to the one pictured the instructor will supply the needed materials for a $25 fee. You will also need to bring your own sewing machine.
