Persian Calligraphy
This class focuses on the technical aspects of Persian calligraphy and also introduces students to the deep emotional and philosophical layers of Persian poetry. The poems selected for the class will include verses from famous poets like Saadi Shiraz and Molana, whose works inspire both contemplation and creativity! The fusion of calligraphy and poetry promises to provide a unique and enriching experience for all participants. Students will be provided special black ink and the traditional reed pen, known as the “Qalam”, which is essential for creating the fluid and graceful strokes that define Persian calligraphy. These supplies will be used throughout the class to ensure an authentic learning experience.
A materials fee of $10 must be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop. This class is suited for all skill levels.
