Pots That Pour: A Wheel Throwing Workshop

An intermediate level class- basic wheel throwing experience is necessary.

Create artfully designed and expertly crafted pouring pots that elevate any occasion! This workshop will focus on forms ranging from pitchers and creamers to cups and mugs. Students will learn to thoughtfully craft spouts that ensure a smooth pour and handles that ergonomically balance the weight for comfortable use. We will also explore various shapes and sizes tailored to specific needs for cups and mugs, ranging from small 4-ounce espresso mugs to large 16-ounce beer steins. This class is ideal for intermediate-level students and beyond, who are eager to refine their skills and expand their repertoire in functional pottery. Join us to elevate your drinkware creations to the next level.

All pieces from the workshop will be bisque fired. Glaze firing is only available for current members or students enrolled in a 6-week class during the spring semester. Class fee includes one 25 lb. bag of clay.
