Relief Printing

Woodcut, Linoleum and Monoprint. This class is open to all, no prior experience necessary. You will produce two to three prints by the end of the 6-week period. Explore relief printing using techniques in linoleum, scroll saw woodcut, color reduction woodcut and monoprint and learn about the process and history of relief printing both as an expressive and as a graphic art form. The class will focus on individual projects that you are interested in. Learn how to print with a press and by hand. Use oil-based inks to print on various papers and fabric and make individual prints as well as editions.
