Introduction to Copperplate Calligraphy 2: Uppercase Lettering
Copperplate is the elegant, ornate script of the 18th century writing masters and the most commonly recognized calligraphy hand. A classic form with gracious swells and hairlines, it is a timeless favorite with students and the basis for many popular typefaces.
This related course in Copperplate majuscules is open to students who have completed Copperplate Calligraphy I or another pointed pen class in any setting. Over two days, you will learn;
- refined use of a flexible, pointed pen
- principle Copperplate strokes for uppercase letters
- uppercase/majescule letterforms
- basic flourishing
