Altered Throwing [Workshop]

Discover the art of altering thrown forms in this 2-day workshop!  Wei Sun will demonstrate how to transform a wheel-thrown piece into a visually captivating and artistically expressive work of art. You will learn to alter cylindrical forms into oval, rectangular, and square shapes. The workshop will begin with a simple oval vase and progress to a complex lidded casserole. There will be guided demonstrations as well as individual work time. Join us for a fun and challenging pottery experience! The class fee includes one 25 lb. bag of clay and 2 punch card visits to complete the project. All pieces from the workshop will be bisque fired. Glaze firing is available for current studio members or students enrolled in a 6-week class during the spring semester.
