Woodworking 3: Methods of Furniture Construction

It all comes together! The third class in our woodworking curriculum, Participants will pull all the techniques learned in Woodworking 1 & 2 and add a few. Techniques used will be milling, mortise and tenon work, slab creation, and leg tapering. Participants will work to create a small end table made of the wood of their choice. Final finish details will be up to the participants and the principals of finishing will be covered. Students will be required to supply their own lumber or purchase it from the Crafts Center stock.

Section A: Mondays [4 weeks] November 13 – December 4: 1:30 – 4:30pm* 

Section B: Mondays [4 weeks] November 13 – December 4 : 6:30 – 9:30pm

Skill Level: Advanced

Prerequisites: Completion of both Woodworking 1 & 2 classes

Class fees by level:     NC State Students – $105     Public – $160
