Focused Forms: Lidded Pots

Lidded pots are rewarding and challenging to make! In this class, students will have the opportunity to dive in and explore the possibilities of lidded forms. Demonstrations and discussion will cover a variety of lid configurations and styles. Students will gain experience working with traditional techniques while being encouraged to channel their own creative voice. This class is designed to build confidence at the wheel and develop technical skills. An intermediate level class- basic wheel throwing experience is necessary. Class fee includes one 25 lb. bag of clay.

Mondays [6 weeks] June 3 – July 8: 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Skill Level: Intermediate

Prerequisites: Completion of Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel class or equivalent, and confident, basic wheel skills; centering, raising cylinders, working with 2 pounds of clay or more on the wheel.

Class fees by level:  NC State students – $105    Public – $170
